Learning Outcome 1: Answer communication questions using appropriate research methods.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This work was created in Communication Research Methods (COME 180) during the spring semester of 2020. The learning objective was to understand how different forms of research are conducted. This was obtained through participating in social scientific methods. I was able to participate in multiple studies conducted by St. Norbert College students and recorded my experiences. This was created so that we could see the connections between what we are learning in the classroom applied to real situations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The learning objective was to become familiar with nonverbal communication in relationships, research and data collection, as well as theory application. This was obtained through social scientific methods because my peers and I observed for a total of nine hours at the Barnes and Noble store in Green Bay. This was created to explore how nonverbal communication varies between genders as well as across age ranges. The target audience was to present the data to the class and the professor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project was created so that our class could put our learning into action while simultaneously benefitting a company based in the area. In this speech, viewers will see the importance of not letting others tell you what to do. This was created to show how the Communication Theory of Identity can affect and be affected by the presence of eating disorders. The influence of social media and the messages portrayed via those platforms are also included in this project.
