<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\nWhat this program means to me is learning how to adapt to new media, while improving skills on old media. It also means focusing on communication theories to better understand your audience. The skills learned in the program range from learning english and writing skills in general or for different formats, and learning skills to create different types of media, while again, focusing on the audience. Some of the research I\u2019ve studied in college has been mostly social science focusing on how families and peers interact with each other, but I\u2019ve also looked into some critical research examining television through different cultural lenses. I\u2019m planning on using everything I\u2019ve learned to advance my career and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because of increased communication skills, I\u2019ve learned how to be a manager at Hy-Vee and communicate with my team and customers. In the future, I\u2019m hoping to become a marketing or communications director. This, volunteering, and making websites for my friends have been some of the biggest steppingstones outside of class in order to obtain the experience I have during my undergraduate years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
