Creating Appropriate Messages
- COME 329: Campaign report
- In Political Communication, we gave a short presentation on something newsworthy going on in politics. I did mine on Joe Biden not being giving communion at church due to his stance on abortion. This showed my ability to create an appropriate message because I had to create this presentation in a way that my class would understand what I am saying.

- COME 467: Modern Family Presentation
- This was a presentation I did in Television Criticism on product placement in the TV series Modern Family. I had to read this chapter of our book and then present it to the class. This showed I know how to create an appropriate message because I had to make sure the class understood the material from that specific chapter.

- COME 310: Media Literacy Video
- In Race Ethnicity and Media I created a video that analyzed the portrayal of Hispanics in television shows. It is known that they are typically portrayed as sex symbols, criminals, servants, illegal immigrants, etc. I found lots of patterns in shows that featured Hispanics as some of the main characters. I had to use appropriate examples to display my theory and bring in some outside concepts to explain.

- COME 329: Political Candidate Video
- In Political Communication I had the joy of creating a video message that would represent a political candidate ad. I took the stance of doing a negative ad about another candidate. We were able to choose anyone to do so my video featured Dr. Glantz as a candidate and why not to vote for him. I was able to create an appropriate message for the age demographic I chose.
