Get To Know Me A Bit

For as long as I can remember forming connections and networking are two skills that have come natural to me. I thrive off of communicating with others. I think a key part to that is due to the fact that I see every encounter and conversation as a learning experience. Whether we know it or not. Each conversation and interaction shape our experiences and how those experiences will be applied when encountering others. Growing up in an age in which social media has also developed and changed along side me has been influential. Communication is the most accessible that it has ever been and it has changed how we interact.

As a student of Communication and Media Studies I have been able to see how much I have learned from the connections I’ve made over the last four years. As I mentioned before, I believe that something can be learned and taken from every experience, conversation, and individual you encounter. My courses have helped to strengthen that belief that has been instilled in me for as long as I can remember. Every message contains information meaningful information that is also influenced by body language, tone, and context. So much can be learned about the individual and even oneself. My courses have pushed me to go outside of my comfort zone, especially scientific research related material about various studies. By analyzing these studies I have been able to learn about certain methods that I otherwise wouldn’t have given much thought. Since my Communication Major has an emphasis on Media Studies, the digital and media related material I have worked with has helped me to gain confidence and knowledge that will be applicable for my professional life. Specifically working with platforms such as WordPress and Wix.

After graduation I hope to join a company in which I can learn life long skills both professionally and personally. I’m interested in pursuing a career in Digital Marketing. Making connections with potential customers is extremely important, especially when spreading brand and company awareness through a digital marketing platform. Digital Marketing allows platforms to reach their target audiences in an easy accessible way.
