St. Norbert College has provided me with a wonderful education that has helped me learn about a variety of topics within the Communication & Media Studies field. As a disciple, the Communication & Media Studies program includes three learning objectives that, as a student, I worked to meet through a range of assignments and projects throughout my college career. Included below is a collection of work that meet these different expectations.
Learning Objective 1: Answer communication questions using appropriate research methods
Demonstrate that you are able to identify , interpret, evaluate, apply, and take part in communication research.
Learning Objective 2: Create messages appropriate to the audience, purpose, and context
Demonstrate that you can find and use relevant information, select creative and appropriate methods for accomplishing communicative goals, and adapt to the needs of the situation.
Learning Objective 3: Critically analyze messages
Demonstrate that you are able to identify meanings embedded in messages, recognize the influence of messages, engage in active listening, and/or enact mindful responses to messages.
