Hello! I am a Spanish major and media studies minor at St. Norbert College, and this is my portfolio! Here you’ll be able to find a collection of the work I am proudest of, my senior capstone project, and my resume!
Get to know me!
I’m originally from Cleveland, Ohio, but moved around a lot as a kid due to my dad’s job. I’ve lived in Detroit, Michigan, Aurora, Illinois, Madison, Wisconsin, and finally Green Bay, Wisconsin, where I attended Bay Port High School. I was a huge athlete in high school, running varsity for both track and cross country. I was even elected captain my senior year!
After high school I attended UW-Madison for one semester, but it just wasn’t the right fit for me. So, I transferred to the significantly smaller St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin and fell in love. I had decided long before I started college that I wanted to major in Spanish, and I have to say that St. Norbert has some of the most amazing Spanish faculty ever. To be frank though, my decision to minor in media studies was pretty arbitrary at first. However, I soon fell in love with the faculty and found a passion for discovering the effects media has on our society.
I studied abroad in Fall 2022 in Toledo, Spain, where I hugely improved my Spanish speaking abilities and gained all types of confidence. I was no longer nervous to speak Spanish in front of native speakers, and I was able to navigate through airports, metro stations and bus stops all on my own. I also gained a lot of perspective on just how big the world is which truly has changed the way I live my life and made me realize how much more of it I want to see. So, I am studying abroad again this coming Fall 2023 semester in Limerick, Ireland, where I know I will gain lots more amazing experience and confidence.
