About Me

I am passionate about understanding and exploring interpersonal relationships, especially those at the intersection of family and romantic relationships, through individuals’ lived experiences and narratives. I feel personally committed to using my skills and talents to make a difference in the lives of those around me.

My development as a budding scholar in the Communication and Media Studies field stems from my understanding that being a student in this field encompasses 1) an eagerness to learn about the processes and methods individuals use to interact with one another, 2) a desire to understand how communication phenomena shape our everyday realities and relationships, and 3) a continual commitment to lifelong learning, as the nature of our interpersonal relationships are constantly evolving.

Post Graduate Plans

I am an alum of St. Norbert College, and I will be attending Northwestern University in the Fall of 2023 to pursue my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I hope to work in either a community/nonprofit or private practice setting with individuals from diverse and underrepresented communities.

I am passionate about pursuing the field of Marriage and Family therapy because I believe that it is imperative to protect, support, and keep families together at the most fundamental level.

I aim to ensure that all families have access to the tools and support they need to work through the challenges that come their way, regardless of the background they come from, and to instill a sense of hope that individuals can remain a family unit through it all. In addition to my future work as a therapist, I hope to continue my connection and involvement with research pertaining to relationships and their impact on individuals’ everyday realities.
