Trends in the Modern Workplace: “SLP” Infographic
This basic infographic was a gateway for me to dive into the world of Speech-Language Pathology as a career. As a freshman at St. Norbert, I was discovering many different careers I was interested in and this was one of them. After performing surface-level research from the ASHA website, I realized I have career goals that are depicted on the website.
Trends in the Modern Workplace: “An Apple and a Coffee Bean” Infographic
Another basic infographic highlights history, statistics and new technology for two major global companies that continue to grow; Starbucks and Apple. Being an avid user of these two businesses, I share an interest in learning about the making of huge companies like these while recognizing how new forms of technology have increased customer satisfaction and sales.
Mass Media: “Digital Marketing” Poster Project
For my final project in Communication in Mass Media, I researched the field of digital advertising and marketing job description, qualifications, daily work requirements and a behind-the-scenes look at what a digital marketer does. This class was an informative way for me to imagine life in the world of mass media while learning about how mass media keeps evolving.
Gender and Media: “One Direction”
This particular project spoke to my teenage self as I reflected upon feminine and masculine themes within One Direction’s music. This poster was presented at the end of the semester where I highlighted underlying gender and social norm messages not just in boy band lyrics, but in other artists’ music as well.
Communication Research Methods: “Solitary Confinement”
This group paper delves into the relationship between solitary confinement and its effects on prisoner mental health in the Green Bay area. After conducting an interview with a prison volunteer and performing research on prison communities, we found evidence that solitary confinement, unfortunately, dehumanizes people and there are other forms of punishment that could lessen this problem in the United States.
Business and Professional Speaking: “Always Listening: From Mouth to Phone”
This 7-minute speech focuses on the conspiracy theory that our devices have the ability to listen in on our conversations on a daily basis. After conducting research from scholarly articles, there seemed to be a handful of evidence that this could be true. This speech looks at arguments on both sides (our phones are listening to us and our phones are not listening to us) and invites the audience to make their own opinion.
Communication Theory: Capstone Project
My Communication Theory Capstone takes a deeper look into Speech-Language Pathology and how it relates to storytelling and CNSM (Communicative Narrative Sense-Making). This project is laid out on an Instagram page and is easily accessible. The posts and stories were created on Canva.

My resource project for Communication and Mental Health stresses the importance of being there for widows and widowers who suffer from poor mental health. Coping with loss is never easy, but this brochure provides helpful insight and resources for loved ones and caregivers who may need help.
