Dissemination Project- COME315A, Spring 2023
For my Conflict Communication course, we were given a dissemination project for our final. The dissemination project was based on using a media medium and distributing our research findings to that medium. For my group, our medium was Instagram. We looked at bereaved adolecents and the effects, and conflict that can arise after a parental loss. We analyzed over 20 different scholarly articles and critically analyzed the articles to determine what was the best fit for our research. After sorting through a variety of sources, we then applied those findings to our overall message. Altogether, we created ten different posts discussing bereaved adolescents. The target audience for this project was Dr. Anna Antos.

Final Capstone Project- COME468A, Spring 2023
This work was my senior communication capstone project. For my project, I asked, How are portrayals of relationships in television shows harmful to real-world relationships. This project was to show what we have learned throughout the past four years in our major, and if we can apply those concepts and teachings to research. Throughout this project, I have hit all three of the criteria. I created multiple messages, on various different platforms. Before creating the message, I had to research and understand the influence of the message. Such as, why these messages about sex influence adolescents. I then had to interpret and apply the findings of the research. In my findings, I found that social cognitive theory was part of the explanation as to why adolescents are influenced in this way. The target audience for this project was adolescents and my professor Dr. Valerie Kretz.
