For my senior capstone project, I created an Instagram account called Relationship Roadmap, which is an account dedicated to helping people navigate the challenges of long-distance relationships. The communication theory my project is based on is relational turbulence theory, which I felt like related perfectly to this topic. For this account, my goal was to make it feel like an actual branded account; I didn’t want it to feel like another school project. Because of this goal, I knew I wanted my posts to be minimal, easy to follow, and easy to digest to the average user. This was a challenge because it required me to simplify over ten advanced and complex research articles and studies, however, I am very proud of the end result.
