Learning Outcome 3:
This paper was for my Political Communication course in the Fall of 2019. The target audience was my professor. The third learning outcome is to critically analyze messages. This project involved using the five canons of rhetoric to analyze Trump’s campaign speech. The five canons of rhetoric used were invention, style, arrangement, delivery, and memory. All five of these guided me to conclude that Trump’s announcement speech used all five canons of rhetoric effectively and thoughtfully, making his speech be persuasive.
