Description: Interpersonal Communication is one of two introductory courses that all Communication majors need to complete. In this class, we discussed communication theories related to interpersonal communication, such as Social Penetration Theory and Relational Dialectics Theory. This class is vital to the foundation of my understanding of communication on the communication side of the discipline since it tackles basic communication skills. It focuses on the communication that occurs between individuals, and this class helped me critically analyze my current ability to effectively communication in addition to helping my better my communication with those around me.
