Description: Principles of Mass Communication is one of the introductory courses required for all communication majors. This class tackled mass communication theories, such as Magic Bullet Theory and Hypodermic Needle Theory. This class is fundamental to my understanding of the media side of the communication discipline. It discussed communication on a wide scale, and in this class I deepened my understanding of media conglomerates and the importance to critically examine messages coming through mass media means, such as TV and the news.
